Revolut Ultra Review – What does Revolut Ultra cost?

For anyone looking into Revolut Ultra Review, this is the first step. We walk through every detail step by step.

From 7 May 2026, new subscribers in Germany pay €65/month or €650/year for Revolut Ultra (~€54/month with annual deal – 16 % discount). Existing customers keep old rates until 9 July 2026.

The platinum Ultra card costs €50 one-time (waived if you don’t cancel within 14 days). You can also order an additional Metal card for €40.

Airport lounge access in detail

The big sell: free lounge passes for personal use via the DragonPass network with 1,300+ lounges worldwide. Book in the Revolut app, check in by QR code.

What most blogs hide: „unlimited“ is tied to fair use. Past ~15 visits/month Revolut may throttle. Irrelevant for most – 3–4 visits/month is solid ROI. Guests are not free (~€35–40/pass).

The premium travel insurances

Ultra includes everything from Metal plus:

  • Trip cancellation insurance: Cancel a trip booked on Ultra card due to illness, family death, etc. – up to €5,000 per incident
  • Extended travel medical up to 90 days, > €1M coverage
  • Event cancellation – non-refundable concerts, theatre, sports
  • Premium luggage up to €2,000 (Metal: €1,000)

Comparable Allianz trip cancellation costs ~6 % of trip value = €120 for a €2,000 trip. Two bigger trips/year already amortizes Ultra.

Partner subscriptions: what’s actually included

  • Duolingo Super (~€14/mo value)
  • Flo Premium (~€8/mo)
  • Tinder Gold 6 months (~€20/mo value)
  • Financial Times Standard Digital (~€35/mo)
  • 3 GB eSIM monthly, 100+ countries, 7-day validity

Manual activation per subscription. If you use Duolingo, FT, and eSIM, the plan pays for itself on partner subs alone.

When does Ultra pay off financially?

  • Lounge value: 4 visits × €35 = €140/month – even 1 visit/month = €35 value
  • Insurance savings vs. separate policy: ~€15/month pro-rated
  • Partner subs (Duolingo + Flo + FT): ~€30/month
  • eSIM 3 GB: ~€8/month vs. roaming

1 business trip/month + active partner sub use: ~€90 value against €65 cost = net positive. Zero flights/year: stay on Metal.
